| Welcome to the website of the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell!
We hope it will motivate you to
find out more about us and our ministry. Most of all, we hope you will
come visit us. You will find that we are an inclusive, welcoming
congregation, one filled with energy and love by a people committed to spiritual growth through worship, study, fellowship, and service.
We offer worship services that are both inspiring and meaningful as well as programs of study that help us discern God's
will. There are many opportunities for fellowship among our members,
allowing us to support one another through our joys, sorrows, and
concerns. Just as our ministries reach into our church, they also reach
out to the local and global communities.
Our church has a rich history which you can read about here. We welcome you to this site and trust that as you learn about us you will wish, if you haven't already, to experience The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell personally.
Grace and peace,
|

Sunday School is taking a break for the summer.
But, that does not mean there is nothing for kids at church! Each week, at the 10:00 AM service there will be a special message just for kids! Following the message, children ages 2 to 5 years old are invited to Kids Page where they will have a snack, some music, a story and a craft activity -- planned just for their age!
Children staying in worship during the summer will be able to enjoy "Worship Bags" filled with fun things to keep fingers and minds occupied and happy during the sermon. The ushers will be happy to show you where to find a Worship Bag.
The Church Library always has new books to enjoy for both children and adults! Check out the carts located at the rear of the Sanctuary! Please be sure to sign the books out and return them in a timely manner for others to enjoy!
For 'wee worshipers', children under 2 years old, our air conditioned Cradle Room is open and staffed. Summer Worship has something for everyone!

Inspirational Phone Line
You can now call the church for an inspirational phone message that includes a brief devotion and prayer. The number, 973-228-2604, is direct and does not go through the church office or menu. The message you hear will change each week and will be brought to you by the Deacon on Duty. For those who are homebound, hospitalized, or seeking inspiration, this is a resource for you! Also, feel free to share it with friends and neighbors in an effort of outreach.

IN THE LOOP WITH CHURCH LIFE
PICTORIAL DIRECTORY UPDATE!
Thanks to those of you who scheduled portraits with Olan Mills. If you were unable to do so, there are still a few options for participating in the First Pres pictorial directory. Olan Mills will allow us to send congregrants to Rockaway, NJ, where they will be photographing another congregation on July 9, 10, and 11th. Another option would be to submit your own pnoto, along with $10 to cover handling and directory costs. Please contact Lisa Stein at 973-228-7303 to discuss either of these options. If you need assistance in obtaining a photo, this can be discussed with Lisa as well. The deadline is Wednesday, July 15th. Thank you!

Dad's with a Mission, Inc.
This men's ministry is a fellowship opportunity for dads to talk about and share their experiences of being a father. Come join us Saturday mornings for lively discussions (and breakfast!). Meetings are held most Saturdays, from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM at Rock'N Joes, Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell. Discussions have centered around books, such as Why Men Hate Going to Church by David Murrow, topics provided by invited speakers, or current events. Check the calendar for meeting dates or call the church office for more details.
