Worshipers are invited to use the cards in the pew racks for prayer requests so we may share one another’s joys and concerns. The white rose on the communion table celebrates the life of First Presbyterian Church Member, Marion Pedersen, and remembers the promise of the resurrection in her death on June 11, 2017. Our sympathy is extended to Marion’s family and friends.

Congratulations High School Graduates! 

Grace Barrett, daughter of Ed and Tara Barrett, is graduating from Mont St. Dominic Academy where she ran Cross Country and winter/spring Track, was involved in the Art Club, Dominican Preachers and the National Honor Society. At FPC she has been a member of the Westminster Choir and participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camps for the past three summers. In the fall she plans to attend the University of Vermont where she has received the Presiden-tial Scholarship. 

Isabella Bellomo, daughter of John and Michelle Bellomo, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she has been involved in Forensics, Track and Chorus. Isabella has been in FPC’s Westminster Choir for two years. She will be attending Seton Hall Univsersity in the Fall where she plans to major in English. 

Emily Brown, daughter of Don Brown is graduating from South Plantation High School where she was involved in Marching Band and Concert Band as well as Culinary. She received cords for 250 hours of Community Service and Culinary. At FPC she has been involved in The Pittsburgh Project Service Camp Trips throughout high school as well as helping at Vacation Bible School and has been an active participant in our Youth Ministry Fellowship when she is in town. In the fall Emily plans to attend Chic Studios Makeup Artistry and Arrojo Cosmetology School in New York. 

*Reilly Cirenza, daughter of Jim and Alison Cirenza, is graduating from Montclair Kimberly Academy where she was a varsity soccer player and swimmer for four years. In addition she held many leadership roles within her school. At FPC she was a Sunday School Helpers for four years. She will attend Miami University in the fall where she plans to major in Psychology. 

Emma Davison, daughter of Bob and Barbara Davison, is graduating from Mount St. Dominic Academy where she has received the Mount St. Dominic Siena Scholar, the Kiwanis Scholarship, Siena Service Award, and acted as the New Jersey Girls State Delegate. At FPC Emma has been a member of the Westminster Choir for four years, participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camp Trips for 6 summers and is an active participant in our Youth Ministry Fellowship Programs. In the fall she plans to attend College of the Holy Cross to study Political Science and Arabic with a Peace and Conflict Studies Concentration. 

Nicholas Donnelly, son of Paul Donnelly, is graduating from West Essex High School. He plans to attend the Coun-ty College of Morris in the fall. 

Dana Elphick, daughter of Mark and Cindy Elphick, is graduating from James Caldwell High School. At FPC she has participated in the Pittsburgh Project trips for 4 summers. She will be attending The College of New Jersey in the fall. 

*Brian Freda, son of Denise Freda , is graduating from Cedar Grove High School where he was co-captain of Cross Country this year, a member of All Student Council and in Pep Club. He was on the High Honor Roll for two years and received the Cedar Grove Historical Society Scholarship. Brian plans to attend Messiah College in the Fall to ma-jor in Sustainability. 

*David Freda, son of Denise Freda , is graduating from Cedar Grove High School where he was co-captain of Cross Country this year, a member of All Student Council and in Pep Club. *Emily Fusaro, daughter of Darren and Anna Marie Fusaro, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she has been a cheerleader for 7 seasons, is Co-Vice President of Band, a member of Chorus, The Co-Secretary of Na-tional Honor Society, Class Council Treasurer and a Peer Leader. At FPC she has been in choir for 12 years, a member of handbells for 8 years, has participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camps for 7 years and been involved in Youth Ministry fellowship. Emily is also a recipient of the 2017 Jack and Inge Stafford Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend Virginia Tech to study Data Analytics in the fall. 

*Daniel Joy, son of Brian Joy and Diane Johnson Joy, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where he in-volved in Wrestling, Football and a member of the Latin Club. At FPC he has attended the Pittsburgh Project Service Camps and been involved in our Youth Ministry Fellowship. In the Fall he plans to attend Ramapo College of New Jersey to major in Engineering Physics 

Katie Kreil, daughter of Doug and Ellen Kreil is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she participated in Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Pit Orchestra for Theater Arts and Track and Volleyball for three years. At FPC Katie has been in Westminster Choir for four years, Bell Choir, a Cherub Choir helper, and participated in The Pittsburgh Project Service Camp for two summers. Katie plans to attend Montclair State University John Cali School of Music in the fall to study Music Education. 


Dee Morrissey, daughter Tom and Sharon Morrissey is graduating from Mount St. Dominic Academy where she has been involved in Dominican Preachers, Cross Country and Track, the Spring Musicals and the Environmental Club. At FPC Dee has been involved with the Westminster Choir through High School, has attended the Pittsburgh Project Ser-vice Camp for five years, acts as a Sunday School Helper on a regular basis and attends our Youth Ministry Fellowship events and activities regularly. Next year Dee plans to attend the Catholic University of America to study Youth Minis-try. 

Lydia Mullin, daughter of Rick and Maureen Mullin, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she has received the James Caldwell High School Scholarship. She has also been a member of the National Honor Society and danced at All 4 Dance Performing Arts Studio. At FPC Lydia has been a member of Westminster Choir, participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camps and is an active member of our Youth Ministry Fellowship. 

Patrick Nancoz, son of Barbara Romaine and Peter Nancoz, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where he has been in Band, a member of West Essex First Aid Squad, a Boys State Delegate, a member of Boy Scout Troop 9, Venture Crew and Captain of the Boys Varsity Track. This year he has received the New Jersey Boys State Delegates Award, an Academic Scholarship from the University of Screaton as well as Varsity Letters for track and cross country. In the fall he plans to attend the University of Scranton where he will major in Physical Therapy. 

*Maisie Newman, daughter of Chuck and Laura Newman, is graduating from West Essex High School where she is involved in the Arts. Maisie completed her Senior Service with Jaime Staehle at FPC this spring. She plans to attend Montserrat College of Art in the Fall. 

*Margaret Ribardo, daughter of John and Sandy Ribardo, is graduating from West Essex High School where she plays LaCrosse and Baseketball. She will attend Virginia Tech in the fall. 

*Rose Schuchard, daughter of Joe and Diane Schuchard, is graduating from West Essex High School. At FPC she has been a Sunday School Volunteer for four years, participated in the Westminster Choir for four years, attended the Pittsburgh Project Service Camp for six years and is an active participant in our Youth Ministry Fellowship. In the fall Rose plans to attend Morris County College where she will study Communication. 

*Richard Scott, son of Don and Sara Cooperson, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where he has been on the Tennis team, in the Key Club and National Honor Society. He has does Independent Research in Chemistry for the past two years. He has received the A.J. Drexel Scholarship. At FPC he has worked in the sound booth with Ray Liptak wince 9th grade and built a computer for the church. Next year he plans to attend Drexel University to major in Computer Engineering. 

*Skylar Thiemann, daughter of Rob and Jeanne Thiemann, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Jr. Classical League, and the Latin Honor Society. She has played Varsity Volleyball for four years and JV Softball for two years and has been on Class Counctil for 4 years. Skylar also served on the Prom Committee and Key Club. At FPC she served as a Deacon, Sunday School Assistant and Nursery Volunteer. She also pariticpated in a Youth Group trip to the United Nations and attended Presbyterian Youth Triennium this past summer. Skylar plans to attend James Madison University in the fall where she will study Cellular Biology, with a con-centration in Genetics. 

*Lydia Wielgus, daughter of Larry and Carol Wielgus, is graduating from James Caldwell High School where she was the Class President for the class of 2017, the Vice President of Student Council and Vice President of the National Honor Society. She began the Forensics Club and is currently the President of that Club. She was the Captain of the Volleyball team this year. At FPC Lydia has served as a regular usher, is the Class of 2017 representative for the Youth Committee and has participated in the Pittsburgh Project for the last 6 years. She is also a recipient of the 2017 Jack and Inge Stafford Memorial Scholarship. Lydia will be attending Quinnipiac University in the fall where she plans to major in Business. 

Kelsey Witzel, daughter of Rick Witzel and Sharon Baker Witzel, is graduating from West Essex High School where she has been in marching band for four years. At FPC she has been in Westminster Choir, handbells and Chancel Choir. She has participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camps for 6 summers and is an active participant in our Youth Ministry Fellowship. Kelsey completed her Senior Service with Jaime Staehle at FPC this spring. She is also a recipient of the 2017 Jack and Inge Stafford Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend Ithaca College 5 year Occupa-tional Therapy Program in the fall. 

Schafer Witzel, son of Rick Witzel and Sharon Baker Witzel, is graduating from West Essex High School where he is involved in Stage Crew. At FPC he has been in Westminster Choir for four years, participated in the Pittsburgh Project Service Camp for 6 years, and has been an active member of our Youth Ministry Fellowship. In the fall he plans to attend Morris County College.
