O God, sustained by your mercy we make bold to confess our sin. We expel strangers and deny hospitality. We judge others all too freely. Our hasty words cause conflict and tension. We are disturbers of your peace. As you sent Christ to reconcile your people, forgive our failings and show us once again the image of your Son, who loved his enemies and taught us to do the same.

Worshipers are invited to use the cards in the pew racks for prayer requests, so we may share one another’s joys and concerns. The ushers will collect the cards during the hymn following the sermon and they will be offered during the Prayers of the People.
