CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 111)

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in company with the congregation.

Your work is full of honor and majesty, O God, and your righteousness endures forever.

The works of your hands are faithful and just; all your precepts are trustworthy.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good

understanding.

OPENING PRAYER

*HYMN SING

CONFESSION

UNISON PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS

O God, deliver us from the burden of sin as we make our confession. Remove the scales from

our eyes, for we overlook neighbors in need. Cleanse us of selfishness, which keeps us from

serving them. Purge us of vanity, since we expect them to be grateful. Help us not to brood

over the seeming ingratitude of some we serve. Restore us by Christ痴 redeeming sacrifice,

and purify our intentions. Make us fit for your service. In Christ痴 name we pray.
