Holy Week & Easter Services

The Maundy Thursday Worship Service will take place on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Maundy Thursday focuses on Jesus’ new commandment to love one another as Jesus has loved us. The service reminds us of Jesus’ humble service and the lengths to which Jesus went to give himself to humanity. This year, we will highlight the moment Jesus washed the disciples’ feet by having a foot washing. Anyone comfortable may come forward and have their feet washed with water. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper, as Maundy Thursday was the night of his arrest, where he sat around the table with his closest friends and broke bread, commanding us to remember him. The music during the service will include Ave Maria (Mozart), Mandatum (Peter Latona) and Panis Angelicus (Cesar Franck). Join us in person, or via livestream at Livestream.com.

The Good Friday Contemporary Worship Service will take place on Friday, March 29th at 7:00pm in the Chapel. Join us for an evening of worship and story as we reflect on the last hours of Christ. All are welcome in person, or via livestream on Livestream.com.

On Easter Sunday, we will have two worship services. At 8:00am on Easter Sunday, we will have a Contemporary Easter Worship Service in the Old Burial Ground. In addition to songs of praise, we will also have a retelling of an Easter story that points to the love of Christ called, “The Ragman.” In the event that it rains, the 8:00am service will be held in Fellowship Hall. At 10:00am on Easter Sunday, we will have an Easter Celebration Worship Service with brass and timpani in the Sanctuary. Special music will feature the FPC Chancel Choir and the FPC Handbell Choir. Communion will be celebrated at this service. Join us in person, or via livestream on Livestream.com for both services.
