Our Mission

Mission: Shining God’s light by… Knowing Christ, Growing in His love, Going where He leads.

Vision: We strive to be an inviting community that helps people to know and love Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, and discover their gifts in order to make a difference in the world through love and service.

Core Values:

Love: We know and love God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We hope to live in such a way that those who know us but not God, will come to know God through knowing us. “ Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

Respect: We welcome and respect people as they are, providing a safe space for all at any point on their faith journey. We adjust to a changing world by listening to a variety of voices from within and from outside the church. “Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.” Romans 14:13

Spiritual Growth: We study the Bible as God’s word revealed to us by the Holy Spirit for growing in our relationship with God and each other. We share insights, questions and perspectives as we deepen our understanding. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-God’s good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Service & Mission: We discover and apply our spiritual gifts including physical talents to do God’s work by helping those in need. “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me” Matthew 25:40

United by Faith: We strengthen and nurture each other in fellowship, worship and prayer in order to make a greater impact. “ And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Stewardship: We are grateful for all of God’s creation and act as caretakers of all God’s blessings. “ Luke 6:38
