2015 Advent Festival
Community residents are invited to participate in an Advent Festival at the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell at 2:00 on Sunday, November 29. This free afternoon event offers the opportunity for both families and individuals to prepare for Christmas with a warm and welcoming congregation. It marks the beginning of Advent, a period of readying for Christmas.

Fifteen different craft stations will offer a variety of choices. All supplies are provided at no cost, and volunteer helpers will be on hand at each table.
The crafting sessions will end at 4:00 and will be followed by a brief devotional time noting the First Sunday of Advent, led by Senior Pastor Dr. Rick Sommers. The afternoon will conclude with a short carol sing.

Parents are encouraged to work with young children, as this is intended to be an opportunity to promote family togetherness. However, older children, teenagers, and adults will also find it easy to participate alone or with a friend.
There is no cost to participate, but attendees are invited to contribute a staple item to be donated to the Caldwell emergency food pantry as a voluntary “admission fee.” It is necessary to pre-register by no later than Nov. 25, so that enough materials can be ready for each craft. Registration can be done during Coffee Hour after the 10:00 AM Sunday worship service, or by calling the church office at 973-228-0310.
