Bring your clean, gently used winter coats and sweaters for the semi-annual Deacons’ Coat & Sweater Drive. The Coat Drive will begin on Sunday, October 6th and will continue through October 20th. The Deacons are partnering with St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark as the beneficiaries of this drive and any warm coats and sweaters will be greatly appreciated. You may drop your donations off by the Christian Education desk on Sundays or during business hours. There will also be a bin available for donations on the sidewalk in the circular driveway for after hours.
*There will be a bin available on the church lawn at the Caldwell Street Fair on Sunday, October 6th from 12pm-5pm, so please feel free to bring by your coats!
It is our 21st year holding the spring coat drive.
We are accepting coats for men, women and children. The garments should be clean and free from rips and stains. It is preferred that the donated coats and sweaters be placed in plastic shopping or garbage bags. All donated coats and sweaters are given to St. John’s Church in Newark, which provides services for the needy, including a soup kitchen and medical care.
For any questions, call the church office during regular business hours at 973-228-0310
