Holiday Thank You Notes

Dear First Presbyterian Church,

On behalf of Strengthen Our Sisters, let me extend our heart-felt gratitude for the Christmas ‘extravaganza’ party you provided for our women and children in dire need. It certainly brightened their Christmas with the upbeat energy of all the volunteers, and with the professional schedule of activities from magic, to face painting, to crafts (etc.), all topped off with a generous meal. AND… when the curtains opened to reveal Santa and the gifts, what a perfect, exciting and dramatic closing to the festivities of the day. Our children and their mother are still talking about it.

Please extend our deep appreciation to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to pull off this amazing event that will forever be in the memory of our women and children. A very special thank you goes to Ellen Johnson and Laura Schalles for the dedicated and important role they played in manifesting this wonderful, memorable Christmas Party.

May your church continue your valued mission to serve the poor and disenfranchised. Many Blessings for this New Year to come, 2015.

With much gratitude,

Reverend Ann Benedetto, SOS Board Chair

Dear First Presbyterian Church,

Thank you so very much for the extremely generous and thoughtful Christmas presents you gave to the students at Rosa Parks Community School. Over 130 students went home smiling with a gift from you. One little girl cried, she was so happy. I hope you have a happy and healthy new year. God Bless you!
