ARE YOU READY TO LIVE?

Seems like a silly question — but we mean it. Are you ready to live a life that is sweeter, deeper, a life that is truly… life?

You’ve heard the sermons and read the books on generosity. Most of it points directly to money — but we believe the canopy for this teaching is generous living. The “well done, good and faithful servant” we all desire to hear has to do with our hearts, whether we were good servants and whether we were faithful servants. Our love will ultimately express itself in giving.

Our prayer is that this study will open your eyes to the eternal Kingdom, not just the temporal world. Christ desires to express His love and to expand His Kingdom through US so that we can build a firm foundation for ourselves, experience His joy and be able to stand before the One who gave everything to us unashamed.

WELCOME TO LIVING GENEROUSLY

Welcome to the Living Generously series! They say every journey begins with a single step… Fortunately for you, this journey begins with five great films!

SO WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

We live in a culture that has lost the true meaning of a generous life. Jesus spoke about generosity throughout his ministry in ways that now seem foreign even to those in the church. This series is designed to open our eyes to biblical generous living and chart a course for our own journey of generosity.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The best way to experience the series is to watch it in a group setting, once a week for five weeks. And here at FPC we will be doing just that! The films will be presented during each week’s 10:00 worship service. But in addition we will be offering 3 small group study opportunities each week (each of them will include the same material, so you only need to go to one each week!). The video which is shown on Sunday will also be shown at the small group studies, so if you miss a Sunday, you can catch up on Wednesday or Thursday morning!

  • Oct. 13, 20, 27; Nov. 3, 10 (Sundays) — 11:30am12:30pm
  • Oct. 16, 23, 30; Nov. 4, 13 (Wednesdays) — 7:308:45pm
  • Oct. 17, 24, 31; Nov. 7, 14 (Thursdays) — 10:0011:15am

All will be held in room 118.

So that we may adequately prepare, please click here by October 9 to let us know if you plan to join us. Don’t worry, if you sign up for Sunday at 11:30 for example, but have to miss that Sunday, you can still come to Wednesday’s or Thursday’s class. We’re simply trying to get a sense of what to expect.
