FAITH & LIFE SERIES PRESENTS
“The Power of Play: Strengthening Parent Child Relationships
and Promoting Positive Child Development…While Having Fun!”
Monday, November 16, 2015
7:30PM
Room 120
In this workshop, led by Jason Rodker, we will discuss the central role
of play in many facets of child development, as well as how to actively
participate in the natural unfolding of a child’s development by becoming
involved in a child’s play, and how to facilitate growth promoting play. Specific
topics to be addressed include the central role of human relationships in play, the
role of play as a child’s means of communication and self knowledge, and the
significance of unstructured play and nature play. Hopefully parents will gain a
greater appreciation for the ways in which children learn to cope with life’s
demands by engaging in certain kinds of play, as well as the significance of their
role in fostering their children’s growth through play.
Plan to join us for this informative and educational evening
